How the Academy works

The Newtyne Academy is an ideal opportunity for skilled and ambitious graduates looking for a permanent role within data and analytics.

The Academy provides an integrated consultancy and training programme, designed to match highly proficient graduates with world-class businesses.

At Newtyne, we seek out highly numerate graduates, or those with similar skills, and provide an intensive training course, enabling individuals to obtain the SAS Certified Specialist: Base Programming using SAS 9.4 Certification.

Once learning is complete, graduates spend 52 weeks within an organisation, putting the skills and knowledge learnt with Newtyne into practice.

At the end of the 52 weeks, the employer has the option to transfer graduates to their organisation, extend the contract, or cease the engagement. The main objective of the Newtyne Academy is to transfer graduates to the host organisation. The programme  provides an excellent opportunity for ambitious individuals to secure experience and a permanent position within the Finance/Data and Analytics sector.

Graduates can expect to learn a new set of skills and knowledge which is immediately applicable.

How do graduates benefit?

Our approach provides graduates with a comprehensive skill set, building on academic qualifications. The course provides the opportunity to gain an industry-standard accreditation with SAS Certification and if you wish to extend your learning, our Professional Certificate in Applied Data Programming (SCQF Level 7), alongside 12 months of project experience enabling you to take that first step on the career ladder.
